Aleksander Titovets began his artistic journey in St. Petersburg, Russia. He was trained in the rich artistic fundamentals of the 19th-century European and Russian masters alongside the innovations of the 20th century. This blend of classical skill in drawing, composition and painting was coupled with a deep knowledge of art history.

In 1992 the vibrant landscapes of the American Southwest beckoned. He quickly achieved acclaim at the El Paso International Competition. Aleksander also began teaching at the Museum of Art and the Community College in El Paso.

Aleksander has participated in national exhibitions such as “Oil Painters of America” and the international program “Art in U.S. Embassies”. His portrait of First Lady, Laura Bush hangs in the Smithsonian Museum’s “First Ladies Gallery” in Washington D.C.

Aleksander and his artist wife Lyuba established The Titovets School of Art in 1999.

“But for me, art is the chance God has given us to understand how great Nature is and how fantastic humans are. Through art, we can answer the questions of who we are, what we live for and what we will leave behind when we are gone from this world. It is my goal to make these connections so that the people who see my paintings will understand and maybe will treasure their time on earth more.”
