Genuine Waterbuck Skull

Picked up this guy in Afton WY on my drive through town. Amazing taxidermy shop. When I arrived home, I noticed someone had written 'Cal's Last Hunt' in Sharpie on the roof of the mouth. When I painted it, after some minor structural repairs, I left the inscription. How sad that such an amazingly beautiful skull was discarded by Cal's loved ones. I love to imagine the former lives of these treasures I find.
The red agate Cabochon from Raincharmer Beads in Phoenix captured my attention as the perfect centerpiece for this beautiful waterbuck skull. Red is always my favorite color to work with, and the gold and pearl accents offset the darkness of the horns.
